in Jamaica

1918

Thomas Hargreaves Geddes and Eugene Desnoes formed Desnoes and Geddes Company limited. Setting the stage for the historic inception of Red Stripe Beer.

1928

The first Red Stripe branded beer was brewed and becomes a milestone in Jamaican history.

1962

Jamaica gained independence from Britain. Many Red Stripe beers were used to celebrate.

1965

The Red Stripe stubby bottle was introduced.

2003

Red Stripe beer receives a gold medal in the Monde Selection. Red Stripe Light wins the silver medal.

2005

For the first time ever. Red Stripe beer export volume exceeds domestic volume and consumption.

2023

Red Stripe® launches it’s first Ready-to-drink canned cocktails – Rum Punch and Rum Mojito

And Keeps
